{"id":10985,"date":"2019-10-06T11:14:29","date_gmt":"2019-10-06T11:14:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=10985"},"modified":"2019-10-06T11:18:13","modified_gmt":"2019-10-06T11:18:13","slug":"ekumfi-juice-factory-to-accrue-gh%c2%a2530-million-annually","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2019\/10\/06\/ekumfi-juice-factory-to-accrue-gh%c2%a2530-million-annually\/","title":{"rendered":"Ekumfi juice factory to accrue GH\u00a2530 million annually"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\" bd-postcontent-3 bd-tagstyles bd-custom-blockquotes bd-custom-image bd-custom-bulletlist bd-custom-table bd-bootstrap-tables bd-table-striped bd-table-bordered bd-table-hover bd-table-condensed bd-contentlayout-offset\">\n<h2>The government\u2019s flagship programme the One district-One factory, which is to create jobs and alleviate the rate of poverty in the districts and communities, is beginning to gain grounds.<\/h2>\n<p>The Alliance for Development and Industrialisation (ADI) has found out that the Ekumfi Juice Factory, which is near completion, will create 5000 direct out grower jobs within the community and its environs.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement issued in Accra and signed by Godwin Arthur, the Convener, the group said the factory would process about 300,000,000 packs of juice annually for the local and export markets and would generate close to GH\u00a2530 million in revenue.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will be the biggest pineapple juice processing factory in West Africa, with the capacity to process 10 tonnes of fruits per hour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ekumfi Juice Factory is currently the largest pineapple juice processing factory in West Africa and it has put Ghana on the international radar with regard to the competition of fruit juice products on the export market,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ADI has learnt that the juice that will be produced at the factory will not be made from concentrate and also there will be no additives, putting the product ahead of its competitors,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe at the ADI have attached ourselves to the commitment of the chiefs and people to this project. The ADI has continued to monitor all these and can attest to the fact that the Ekumfi Project will be one of the largest sources of revenue for this country\u201d, it said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ADI, if the government could replicate such projects in 10 regions, the country would accrue a total revenue of GH\u00a25.3 billion a year.<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1220784161199635\" data-ad-slot=\"3976749912\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\" data-overlap-observer-io=\"false\"><ins id=\"aswift_3_expand\"><ins id=\"aswift_3_anchor\"><\/ins><\/ins><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe again commend the government for the 18-month duration for the construction of this factory.
