Jose Mourinho \u2013 Sacked Chelsea boss eyeing England job?\" width=\"700\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"article__media-caption\">Mourinho\u2019s second spell at Chelsea came to a limp end<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking on behalf of GentingBet, Bent said: \u201cI know Mourinho will say that playing his ex-team doesn\u2019t really mean anything but I can say as an ex-player that whenever I was playing against an old team, you always wanted to put one over on them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether they let you go and you want to show them that they made the wrong decision or you decide to go because it\u2019s the best thing for your career and you want to show that you\u2019ve improved as a player. There\u2019s a lot riding on it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he\u2019s going to say that this game doesn\u2019t mean anything to him then I think he\u2019s lying.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"article__media\">\n<div class=\"article__media-img-container open-gallery\" data-index=\"2\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thesun-article-image wp-image-645283\" src=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/12\/NINTCHDBPICT000548831089.jpg?strip=all&amp;w=659&amp;quality=100\" alt=\"Bent played for Spurs between 2007-09\" width=\"659\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"article__media-caption\">Bent played for Spurs between 2007-09<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Spurs have undergone a mini-revival since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino last month.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve won four out of their last five Premier League matches and can actually leapfrog fourth-placed Chelsea with a win on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Bent is backing his former club to seal a narrow victory, tipping 2-1 as the scoreline, and was full of praise for Mourinho\u2019s impact at the club.<\/p>\n<p>He also believes there\u2019s no reason why they can\u2019t finish in the Champions League spots come May.<\/p>\n<p>Bent said: \u201cThere was probably a time where no one would\u2019ve ever thought that Mourinho would in charge of Tottenham because the gulf between the two clubs was massive.
