Her Majesty\u00a0the Queen\u00a0has had a \u00a362,000 golf buggy delivered to help her recent mobility issues, complete with hi-tech specs including a fridge and entertainment screen.<\/p>\n

The 95-year-old monarch received the four-seater vehicle two weeks ago and has had a quick tour around the\u00a0Windsor Castle\u00a0grounds alongside her beloved corgis.<\/p>\n

After battling with mobility issues and reportedly requiring use of a wheelchair, the Queen’s new cart is ‘perfect’ to help her get around.<\/p>\n

Queen Elizabeth has been seen using a walking stick for the past six months and has also had a lift installed at\u00a0Balmoral Castle.<\/p>\n

Built by Garia, a Danish manufacturer of premium ‘golf cars’, as part of a ‘tie-up’ with Mercedes-Benz, the speedy battery-fuelled four-wheeler has a range of 50 miles before it needs recharging.<\/p>\n

Considered the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of the golf cart world, The Queen is thought to have the ‘Monaco’ model from Garia’s range of buggies.<\/p>\n

The Queen can recline her brown-leather seat and have a quick bite to eat or something to drink from the on-board mini fridge.<\/p>\n

It also features a 10.1inch tablet-style screen next to the steering wheel, offering maps and weather updates, as well as ‘weather enclosure’ doors.<\/p>\n

The buggy, which has car-like elements including 14inch alloy wheels,\u00a0drive mode selection, a lockable boot, Bluetooth speakers, a heated windscreen and cup holders.<\/p>\n

A source told\u00a0The Sun\u00a0that the electric cart, which goes up to speeds of 43mph, has been dubbed the ‘Queen Mobile’.<\/p>\n

The insider revealed: ‘She\u2019s been through a lot of physical battles recently with Covid and her back sprain, which would take its toll on anyone \u2014 let alone someone who turns 96 next month.<\/p>\n

‘The cart is a new addition to the castle, and they all think it\u2019s a great idea… itt\u2019s certainly fit for a Queen and hopefully it will help her fulfil her engagements.<\/p>\n

‘Everyone wants her to carry on for as long as possible being seen by the public. I\u2019m sure the Queen would rather walk to events and carry on as normal, but she is struggling at the moment.’<\/p>\n

The Queen, 95, is on top form mentally although she has some ‘mobility issues’, her biographer has revealed.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0GB news\u00a0on Wednesday,\u00a0Robert Hardman, 57, revealed on Wednesday she was in ‘very good spirits’ amid recent reports that she is relying on a wheelchair.<\/p>\n

Robert, who is the author of a new book on the Queen’s life, said: ‘Mobility is something of an issue now.’<\/p>\n

However, it’s not lowered her mood, with Robert adding: ‘I’m told by those very close to her that she’s in very good spirits, you know – absolutely pin sharp as ever.’<\/p>\n

He continued:\u00a0‘But, but there is a mobility [issue] inevitably when you’re coming up to your 96th birthday and also dignity, I think it’s terribly important.<\/p>\n

‘She is the Queen, she wants to be seen as the Queen, she wants to look the part.’<\/p>\n

After being pictured with her stick in the castle’s drawing room on Wednesday as she viewed artefacts to celebrate Halcyon Days’ 70th Anniversary, the source also said that the Queen’s staff are all looking for her to carry on as long as possible and to be seen by the public as doing so.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Prince Philip’s memorial service at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday, there are no suggestions that the new buggy will be there in aid of Her Majesty.<\/p>\n

The Queen has faced multiple health issues in recent months, with the first scare beginning in October after she spent a night in hospital, with doctors ordering her to rest.<\/p>\n

A two-day visit to Northern Ireland and the COP26 Climate Change Summit were also skipped following the initial hospital visit.<\/p>\n

She also had to pull out of the Remembrance Sunday service less than two hours before it went ahead due to a sprained back.<\/p>\n

She also missed a Commonwealth Day this month as a precaution after testing positive for Covid-19 in February.<\/p>\n

Her Majesty has only ever missed six other Cenotaph ceremonies during her 70-year-reign, with four occasions having been overseas in Ghana, 1961, Brazil, 1968, Kenya, 1983 and South Africa in 1999.<\/p>\n

She says she ‘doesn’t want to resort to a wheelchair’ having been ‘haunted’ by her sister Princess Margaret having been in one in the last few public appearances.<\/p>\n

The Queen Mother was also driven by golf buggy to events before she died in 2002.<\/p>\n
