Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a new deal with star man Mohamed Salah<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Salah’s commitment would be a huge boost to Jurgen Klopp after a lengthy contract impasse<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The 29-year-old has reportedly been looking for a salary in the range of \u00a3500,000 a week that would put him in the same bracket as Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, but he has now had a change of heart and is ready to compromise with the club’s hierarchy.<\/p>\n

That’s according to\u00a0the Mirror,\u00a0who believe Salah is ‘on the brink’ of agreeing a new contract that would see him end his career at Anfield.<\/p>\n
Liverpool officials were left fearing the worst after the latest set-back in talks with Salah – concerned he could end up running his contract down until summer 2023 before walking away as a free agent, the report adds.<\/p>\n

Salah is ready to compromise on his demands and has been won over by the support he has receiveD<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
European heavyweights like PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid also could have pounced on the uncertainty by testing Liverpool’s resolve with a cut-price offer.<\/p>\n
But now a package is being put together which would see Salah agree a new three year deal with an option for an extra year – it says – effectively meaning he will finish off his career as a Liverpool player.<\/p>\n
Another factor in Salah’s decision making has been the support and affection he has received in Merseyside, the report goes on, with\u00a0Liverpool consoling him over his Egypt’s failure to reach the World Cup in Qatar.<\/p>\n
And with Liverpool still competing for the quadruple this season, Salah’s commitment to the club would be a timely boost in their quest for the most successful season yet under Klopp.<\/p>\n

Salah is currently enjoying one of his most clinical seasons in a Liverpool shirt. He’s netted 20 in the Premier League – making him the division’s top scorer – and 28 goals in all competitions.<\/p>\n
It comes after Klopp backed Salah to continue with his brillaint campaign, regardless of uncertainty off the pitch, and said he would not be ‘distracted’.<\/p>\n
‘We could have some players who don’t play often enough and aren’t in the squad enough and they could create a bad atmosphere,’ he said last month. ‘They don’t. They will not.<\/p>\n
‘It is a clear commitment for the team for this season and then we will talk about the rest \u2013 future, immediate, further.<\/p>\n

There were concerns from Liverpool that Salah could run his contract down and leave on a free<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
‘Mo is not a guy for (being distracted), not at all. If I don’t (start) him, then his mood (with me) goes down! That is possible but not against the team or whatever.’<\/p>\n
The German boss had previously claimed that Liverpool ‘could not do more’ in their attempts to agree a new deal with Salah.<\/p>\n
‘Mo expects this club to be ambitious,’ he said at the beginning of last month. ‘We cannot do much more. It is Mo\u2019s decision. It is all fine from my point of view. Nothing happened further, no signing or rejection. We just have to wait, there\u2019s no rush.’<\/p>\n
Salah’s agent\u00a0Ramy Abbas Issa hinted at tension between his client and the club by responding to Klopp’s words with several laughing emojis on Twitter.<\/p>\n
