Ghanaian pollster, Ben Epshon has stated that Vice President Dr. Bawumia would have no choice but to pick a running mate from the Ashanti Region if he\u2019s elected as the flagbearer of the NPP ahead of the 2024 presidential elections.<\/p>\n
According to the experienced pollster, having a running mate coming from a stronghold of a party encourages more voters to come and vote during the election day.<\/p>\n
Reacting to Obed Asamoah\u2019s recent comment regarding the choice of the erstwhile president Mahama\u2019s running mate for the 2020 Election that the NDC did not have a strong running mate in Prof Jane Agyemang, the pollster said Mahama did not lose the 2020 election due to having a weak running mate.<\/p>\n
Ben Ephson stressed that the NDC lost the 2020 election because John Dramani Mahama did not have a firm position on the free SHS.<\/p>\n
He however underscored that the NDC will have an edge to win the 2024 election if they pick a running mate from the Greater Accra region being a Ga.
