{"id":19713,"date":"2022-04-06T15:58:07","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T15:58:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=19713"},"modified":"2022-04-06T15:58:07","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T15:58:07","slug":"rainstorm-causes-major-outages-in-ecgs-distribution-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2022\/04\/06\/rainstorm-causes-major-outages-in-ecgs-distribution-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Rainstorm causes major outages in ECG\u2019s distribution system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has said the current interruption in power supply, being experienced in some parts of the country is due to major outages in its distribution system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the company, the rainstorm that hit the Greater Accra Region and certain parts of the country on Wednesday, 6 April 2022 has \u201ccaused major outages\u201d in its distribution system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A statement issued by the Company, cautioned \u201call and sundry to be extremely careful not to touch or step on loose or fallen electrical conductors since they could be live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">It also urged \u201canyone who has encountered loose or fallen conductors, and customers experiencing outages to call\u201d the ECG contact centre or reach them on any of their social media handles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cCustomers should note that our Engineers are working assiduously to rectify the faults and restore power supply,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has said the current interruption in power supply, being experienced in some parts of the country is due to major outages in its distribution system.
