{"id":19719,"date":"2022-04-06T16:12:15","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T16:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=19719"},"modified":"2022-04-06T16:12:15","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T16:12:15","slug":"hacker-group-called-anonymous-leaks-nearly-a-million-russian-state-media-emails","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2022\/04\/06\/hacker-group-called-anonymous-leaks-nearly-a-million-russian-state-media-emails\/","title":{"rendered":"Hacker group called Anonymous \u2018leaks nearly a MILLION Russian state media emails\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Hackers affiliated with Anonymous have claimed to have leaked more than 900,000 emails spanning 20 years from Russia&#8217;s largest state media corporation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Network Battalion 65 or NB65, leaked the 786.2 GB email cache from the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) with\u00a0Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoSecrets).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">DDoSecrets co-founded Emma Best said the leak was &#8216;an unprecedented exposure of state-owned media and propaganda which the Russian government considers essential to the state security. &#8216;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It is the latest in a string of hacks the group have claimed since then including taking down\u00a0Russian state news agencies TASS, Fontanka, Kommersant, Kremlin-backed channel RT<a id=\"mol-df8993d0-b5bb-11ec-b0ee-7f70ed8da485\" class=\"class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/russia-today\/index.html\">\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0the Kremlin website, on February 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">On Sunday, the group claimed to have leaked the personal data &#8211; dates of birth, names, home addresses and passport numbers &#8211; of 120,000 Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Following the release, the collective announced that &#8216;all\u00a0soldiers participating in the invasion of Ukraine should be subjected to a war crime tribunal.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Anonymous declared &#8216;cyber war against the Russian government&#8217; Mr Putin. The ongoing invasion of Ukraine has shown that your regime has no respect for human rights or the self determination of your neighbours.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Anonymous called Putin the &#8216;instigator&#8217; of violence, referring to the killing of innocent people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">They added: &#8216;Members of Anonymous have declared cyber war against your aggressive regime [&#8230;] soon you will feel the full wrath of the world&#8217;s hackers.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The group also alleged on 31 March that it had hacked 62,000 emails from the Marathon Group,\u00a0a Russian investment firm owned by Alexander Vinokurov, currently under EU sanctions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Anonymous said that details from the emails were put on DDoSecrets.
