In a new biography called \u201cIt Was All a Dream: Biggie and the World That Made Him\u201d by\u00a0Justin Tinsley<\/strong>, the book is suggesting infamous rivals\u00a0Notorious B.I.G.<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Tupac<\/strong>\u00a0were \u201cclose.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a podcast interview\u00a0with\u00a0Rolling Stone Music Now<\/em>, Tinsley tells the outlet how they were \u201cincredibly close\u201d and referred to the two artists as \u201cGemini twins.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThey instantly hit it off,\u201d said Tinsley.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThey were both Geminis, so they were Gemini twins in a way. These guys were incredibly close. Tupac would have Biggie over his house when he was in L.A., [have him] sleep on his couch \u2026Tupac respected that Big was really in the streets and he was doing what he was rapping about. And obviously he loved the fact that Biggie was such a gifted lyricist and wordsmith. Meanwhile, Biggie really appreciated the fact that Tupac came from a freedom-fighter lineage, and he always stood up for what he believed were the best interests of Black people.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He also shares how the \u2018One More Chance\u2019 rapper not only liked hip hop, but was an avid listener of country music, too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHis first DJ was his mom,\u201d Tinsley told the publication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cShe was the one always playing music around the house. And she was a big fan of country music. You can\u2019t say that that didn\u2019t influence him in some way.\u201d<\/p>\n
