{"id":22143,"date":"2022-05-20T19:39:45","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T19:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=22143"},"modified":"2022-05-20T19:39:45","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T19:39:45","slug":"drivers-to-march-naked-over-rising-cost-of-fuel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2022\/05\/20\/drivers-to-march-naked-over-rising-cost-of-fuel\/","title":{"rendered":"Drivers to march naked over rising cost of fuel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana is threatening to march naked on the streets of the national capital to express its anger at the government over the ever-increasing prices of fuel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The drivers intend to block major roads during that demonstration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The group\u2019s National Public Relations Officer, Mr David Agboado, told Korku Lumor on Class91.3FM\u2019s 505 news programme on Thursday, 19 May 2022: \u201cWe are giving the government two weeks; if nothing is done, we the drivers will take to our heels and do the naked demonstration\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis time around, we are going naked so that it sounds different; that\u2019s what we want to do so that the government will sit up\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Comparing the prices of fuel in Ghana to her neighbours\u2019, Mr Agboado said: \u201cWhen you go to Burkina, their fuel price is 7.81; when you go to Togo, it\u2019s 7.62; when you go to Ivory Coast, it\u2019s 8.62\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhy?
