{"id":28708,"date":"2022-12-24T06:11:39","date_gmt":"2022-12-24T06:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=28708"},"modified":"2022-12-24T06:11:40","modified_gmt":"2022-12-24T06:11:40","slug":"bank-of-ghana-increases-mobile-money-transaction-limit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2022\/12\/24\/bank-of-ghana-increases-mobile-money-transaction-limit\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank of Ghana increases mobile money transaction limit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has increased mobile money transaction and wallet limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bank in a statement issued on December 22, 2022, noted the review is part of measures to facilitate more efficient payments, encourage the seamless transition to a cash-lite society as well as promote the use of non-cash models of payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the release, \u201cthe aggregate monthly transaction limits will however remain unchanged.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/BoG-11.jpg\" alt=\"BoG increases mobile money transaction limit\" class=\"wp-image-10032233740\" title=\"BoG increases mobile money transaction limit\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find below the new review:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Daily transaction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum KYC Account which initially had a limit of \u00a21,000 has been upgraded to \u00a22,000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medium KYC Account with a current limit of \u00a25,000 has been increased to \u00a210,000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced KYC Account with a \u00a210,000 threshold has been reviewed to \u00a215,000.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Maximum account balance limit<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>and monthly transaction limits are attached below:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/BoG-12-711x1024.jpg\" alt=\"BoG increases mobile money transaction limit\" class=\"wp-image-10032233741\" title=\"BoG increases mobile money transaction limit\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has increased mobile money transaction and wallet limits.
