{"id":28851,"date":"2022-12-30T10:51:12","date_gmt":"2022-12-30T10:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=28851"},"modified":"2022-12-30T10:51:14","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T10:51:14","slug":"chinas-president-xi-jinping-to-make-state-visit-to-russia-in-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2022\/12\/30\/chinas-president-xi-jinping-to-make-state-visit-to-russia-in-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"China&#8217;s president Xi Jinping to make state visit to Russia in spring"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reuters reports that the Russian president, <strong>Vladimir Putin<\/strong>, said on Friday he was expecting the Chinese president, <strong>Xi Jinping<\/strong>, to make a state visit to Russia in spring 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In introductory remarks from a video conference between the two leaders broadcast on state television, Putin said the importance of Russia-China relations was rising as a stabilising factor, and that he aimed to deepen military cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Putin said: \u201cWe are expecting you, dear Mr Chairman, dear friend, we are expecting you next spring on a state visit to Moscow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the visit would \u201cdemonstrate to the world the closeness of Russian-Chinese relations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking for about eight minutes, Putin said Russia-China relations were growing in importance as a stabilising factor, and that he aimed to deepen military cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a response that lasted around a quarter as long, Xi said China was ready to increase strategic cooperation with Russia against the backdrop of what he called a \u201cdifficult\u201d situation in the world at large.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reuters reports that the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, said on Friday he was expecting the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, to make a state visit to Russia in spring 2023.
