He became the 6th head of the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of Thursday\u2019s votes proved that Apostle Nyamekye has won the hearts of the conclave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He polled 1,255 \u2018Yes\u2019 votes out of a total of 1,262 on Thursday. He had garnered 994 \u2018Yes\u2019 votes out of a total of 1009 five years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, at the same Council Meetings, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi was also elected the General Secretary of the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He replaces Apostle Kumi Larbi, who served for 10 years in the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apostle Obuobi, 53, polled 1,256 \u2018Yes\u2019 votes out of a total of 1,262, representing 99.6 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He will serve for the next five years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apostle Eric Nyamekye was on Thursday, May 4 re-elected the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost for the next five years.
