Ghanaian entertainment critic, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo shares his disappointment with Efya, a Ghanaian singer who seemingly shows no zeal in expanding her career to other parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Arnold, Efya would have been on top of the world if she put much effort into her craft because she is a good stage performer and has a great voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Arnold’s latest feature “Efya & drug-use tag: Take action\u201d, which is cited in the Graphic Showbiz Newspaper, he gives reasons why the singer’s attitude towards her craft has slowed her progress and also advises her to step up her game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEfya has been in this industry for close to 13 years, commanding such incredible talent but she is yet to sign any lucrative record deal or endorsement deal. One of Efya\u2019s major problems has nothing to do with drug use or its abuse.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is an issue many have not paid attention to; her lack of activity, zeal and urgency. Many have over the years argued that, with such talent and swagger, Efya should have been bigger than the likes of Tiwa Savage and TEMS and they are right! Unfortunately, she seems overly comfortable, lazy, not hungry enough and lacks drive”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cQuite incredulously, in such a competitive industry, Efya has only one, just one album to her credit plus one mixtape.\u00a0 How do you compete with such?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Unless you are a Lauryn Hill in a well-structured industry where she can drop one classic solo album and go to sleep, knowing very well you can survive on shows, royalties and licensing deals.
