The Dane was\u00a0signed from New Atalanta for \u00a372m but has yet to play for United due to a back problem. Now recovered, Ten Hag said H\u00f8jlund will start at Arsenal and praised his immediate impact on the squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The balance in my squad is already very good and we noticed this week that a different spirit is coming up [due to him],\u201d the manager said. \u201cHe gives that energy and also the players get energy from it. It is very good. He is a different character in our squad and that makes it really exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scrutiny of H\u00f8jlund will be intense but Ten Hag believes the young striker can handle high expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe is brave and that\u2019s enough. He has belief and the rest will come,\u201d said the United manager. \u201cWe scouted his skill and personality. Everywhere he has been so far, he\u2019s made a big impact. You need time and it will come, I\u2019m convinced of that. Give him time to settle in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo player can [perform] from the start. Of course, we expect a lot from H\u00f8jlund but he needs time to settle into the team and the way we play. The rest will come \u2013 I\u2019m very confident of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
