Sunday, October 15, 2023,\u00a0the\u00a0evergreen\u00a0gospel music duo, Tagoe Sisters<\/a>, delivered an action-packed\u00a0at the Accra International Conference Centre\u00a0(AICC),\u00a0to\u00a0mark their 40th anniversary in the\u00a0Ghanaian\u00a0gospel music industry.<\/span><\/span><\/h1>

The event was dubbed\u00a0“Tagoe Sisters @ 40 Concert.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The concert was graced with thrilling performances from Ghanaian gospel and secular artists.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>

Kuami\u00a0Eugene, Akwaboah<\/a>,\u00a0Pat Thomas,\u00a0\u00a0Kwabena Kwabena,\u00a0and\u00a0Lola X Lali\u00a0were secular artists who performed timeless songs like \u2018Anka matete,\u2019 \u2018Fa Bibiara Mano,\u2019 \u2018Yedi Nkunim\u2019\u00a0of the Tagoe Sisters.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Being a gospel event, gospel musicians were not left out to grace the occasion. <\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The likes of Perez Musik, Mary Ghansah, Ceccy Twum, Nacee, Empress Gifty and Abena Serwah Ophelia honoured their invitations by performing at the concert.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>The solid performances from all booked artists aerialed a spirit-filled atmosphere.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>A Korean music group called Adom Stars featured at the concert by performing the Tagoe Sisters’ popular songs. \u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/span>Mr\u00a0Francis Osei was honoured at the event for playing a key role in the lives of the Tagoe Sisters when they were involved in an accident that nearly took their lives.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/span>The\u00a0newly elected\u00a0President of the Musician Union of Ghana\u00a0(MUSIGA), Bessa Simons,\u00a0applauded\u00a0the Tagoe Sisters for breaking barriers\u00a0in the music industry and also\u00a0paving the way for women\u00a0to pursue their music careers.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/span>“When we were growing up, it was not easy for women to enter the music scene. Your parents wouldn’t allow it. But the Tagoe Sisters broke all the rules, and here they are now.
