This report was disclosed on social media by Fifi Tackey, who is the Spokesperson of the Ayew Family, outlining the former Black Stars player\u2019s intention to take part in this year\u2019s election as an independent candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stephen Appiah\u2019s decision to contest for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat will have him go against formidable candidates like NDC\u2019s John Dumelo and the current MP, Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the NPP. With this interesting matchup, Ghanaians will be keeping a keen eye on the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency this coming December 7, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The legendary midfielder has left a huge mark on the Ghanaian sporting scene, which saw him lead Ghana to their first-ever World Cup qualification in 2026 and also followed up with a much important role in the 2010 World Cup, where Ghana got to the quarterfinal stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
