{"id":44011,"date":"2024-09-27T07:24:58","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T07:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=44011"},"modified":"2024-09-27T07:25:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T07:25:00","slug":"cedi-depreciates-further-against-dollar-all-other-major-trading-currencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2024\/09\/27\/cedi-depreciates-further-against-dollar-all-other-major-trading-currencies\/","title":{"rendered":"Cedi depreciates further against dollar, all other major trading currencies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The value of the local currency \u2013 the cedi \u2013 has fallen against all its major trading currencies according to the latest Bank of Ghana report.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The September 2024 Summary of Economic and Financial Data by the Bank of Ghana puts the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar at 24.3 %, compared to the 21.3% recorded in August 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a year-by-year basis, the rate of depreciation has jumped marginally from 22.9%.
