This message was delivered during a police briefing with representatives from all political parties on November 21, outlining the force\u2019s preparations for the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address, Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare assured that the police would handle any electoral violence with professionalism, taking appropriate actions to either escalate or de-escalate situations as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith the 13 or the 12, whichever it is, there is one clear thing, only one will win, the rest will not win. In the same way, the 801 vying for the position of 276 seats, only and I repeat only 276 will win, the rest will not win. We need to come to this realisation and therefore measure our expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf I want to be very blunt, I will say that as you plan to celebrate your possible victory, plan to celebrate your defeat or endure your defeat.
