{"id":44667,"date":"2024-12-12T03:34:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T03:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=44667"},"modified":"2024-12-12T03:34:14","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T03:34:14","slug":"return-all-government-vehicles-by-january-3-2025-presidency-directs-appointees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2024\/12\/12\/return-all-government-vehicles-by-january-3-2025-presidency-directs-appointees\/","title":{"rendered":"Return all government vehicles by January 3, 2025 \u2013 Presidency directs appointees"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of the President has reiterated the directive for outgoing Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, and other political appointees to return all government vehicles by January 3, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This directive, initially issued at the end of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo\u2019s first term in 2020, remains in full effect as his second and final term concludes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement issued on Wednesday December 11, the president\u2019s office emphasised that no official vehicle shall be acquired by any appointee of the current administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The directive applies to all Ministers of State, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, Special Assistants, Special Aides to the President and Vice President, and other political appointees, including those serving as Chairpersons or Members of Statutory Boards and Corporations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All government vehicles must be returned to the Chief Director of the relevant Ministries by the specified date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-12-11-at-18.24.23_b7b8e980.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1119215\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the President has reiterated the directive for outgoing Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, and other political appointees to return all government vehicles by January 3, 2025.
