{"id":46151,"date":"2025-08-28T09:17:45","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T09:17:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=46151"},"modified":"2025-08-28T09:17:47","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T09:17:47","slug":"assaulted-ridge-hospital-nurse-sues-ralph-williams-for-ghs7m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2025\/08\/28\/assaulted-ridge-hospital-nurse-sues-ralph-williams-for-ghs7m\/","title":{"rendered":"Assaulted Ridge Hospital nurse sues Ralph Williams for GHS7m"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rejoice Tsotso Bortei, a nurse at Ridge Hospital assaulted during a violent incident involving relatives of a patient on August 17, has filed a GHS 7 million civil lawsuit against social media personality and activist Ralph Saint Williams, also known as \u201cRalph De Fellow Ghanaian,\u201d for alleged physical assault and defamation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a Writ of Summons filed at the High Court in Accra on August 20, 2025, and sighted by Citi News on August 22, Bortei is seeking GHS 5 million for battery and GHS 2 million for defamation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement of claim alleges that Williams physically assaulted Bortei, causing injuries including a dislocated shoulder and a hand injury, which have affected her professional duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the plaintiff claims Williams made defamatory statements publicly, calling her a \u201cliar\u201d and accusing her of fabricating her injuries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cLiar, wo se wo nsam abu. Duab\u0254 bebam. You say you have suffered an injured hand and a dislocated shoulder.
