The Akuapem Kuronti Division of the Akuapem Traditional Council is set to celebrate this year\u2019s much-anticipated Odwira Festival under the theme \u201cPreserving Our Heritage; Securing Our Future.\u201d The grand durbar will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Kuronti Durbar Grounds, under the distinguished leadership of Osahene Boafo Ansah III, Akuapem Kurontihene and Senior Divisional Chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Odwira Festival, one of Ghana\u2019s most cherished traditional celebrations, serves as a unifying platform for the Akuapem people to renew their bonds of unity, showcase their rich cultural heritage, and reflect on the legacy of their forebears. This year\u2019s celebration is expected to draw thousands of citizens, dignitaries, and tourists to the historic town of Kuronti, renowned as one of the key divisions of the Akuapem Traditional Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honouring Tradition and Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osahene Boafo Ansah III, whose reign has brought renewed cultural energy and developmental vision to Kuronti, will preside over the grand durbar accompanied by Nananom and Mpanin of the Akuapem Kuronti Division. The durbar will feature traditional drumming, dancing, pageantry, and royal processions that showcase the spiritual and social depth of the Odwira celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement from the Traditional Council, Osahene Boafo Ansah III emphasized the importance of this year\u2019s theme, urging citizens to \u201cembrace their cultural roots while building a secure and progressive future for generations yet unborn.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished Guests and Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 celebration will also welcome several guests of honour, including respected community leaders, corporate executives, and partners who have supported development initiatives in the Akuapem area. Among those expected are Felix Akomea Nyarko (MD of Prestige Alliance Ltd), Nana Oheneba Osei Mensah V (Akonomanhene), and Alpha Nyarko Kissi (CEO, Alpha Global Entertainment & Media).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event enjoys sponsorship and partnership from prominent brands such as McDan Group, OFIE TV, Enlighten Entertainment, Peeva Productions, Ohakk 2 Consults Ltd, Big Parps Travels and NKA Consult, among others, highlighting the growing collaboration between traditional authorities and the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
