{"id":47979,"date":"2025-12-05T20:27:29","date_gmt":"2025-12-05T20:27:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/?p=47979"},"modified":"2025-12-05T20:27:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-05T20:27:31","slug":"82-year-old-opanyin-adusei-crowned-2025-overall-best-national-farmer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsemgh.com\/2025\/12\/05\/82-year-old-opanyin-adusei-crowned-2025-overall-best-national-farmer\/","title":{"rendered":"82-year-old Opanyin Adusei crowned 2025 Overall Best National Farmer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">82-year-old&nbsp;Opanyin&nbsp;Abraham Kwaku&nbsp;Adusei, from Eastern Region,&nbsp;has been crowned the Overall Best National Farmer for 2025 at the 41st National Farmers Day Awards Ceremony held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr.&nbsp;Adusei, who emerged winner among several distinguished farmers from across the country, received a cash prize in recognition of his decades of dedication, innovation, and excellence in agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">48-year-old Osman&nbsp;Kadiri, from Greater Accra Region,&nbsp;was named the first runner-up, while 63-year-old Charles&nbsp;Gyato&nbsp;from the&nbsp;Oti&nbsp;Region took the second runner-up position. Madam Grace Owusuaah won the National Best Female Farmer 2025. Both were also presented with cash prizes for their outstanding contributions to Ghana\u2019s agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awards were presented by President John Dramani Mahama, who commended the winners for their hard work, resilience, and commitment to national development through farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After receiving his award, the Overall Best Farmer, Mr.&nbsp;Adusei, expressed profound appreciation for the&nbsp;honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He pledged to continue working closely with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to advance the well-being of farmers and support efforts aimed at&nbsp;modernising&nbsp;the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony marked a central highlight of the National Farmers Day celebrations, which&nbsp;recognise&nbsp;the vital role farmers and fishers play in ensuring food security and driving the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/FARMER-.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1270638\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>82-year-old&nbsp;Opanyin&nbsp;Abraham Kwaku&nbsp;Adusei, from Eastern Region,&nbsp;has been crowned the Overall Best National Farmer for 2025 at the 41st National Farmers Day Awards Ceremony held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.
