South African pop sensation Tyla has clinched her second Grammy Award, winning Best African Music Performance for her hit single \u201cPush 2 Start\u201d at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award was announced during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony, where Tyla\u2019s track triumphed over strong contenders including Burna Boy\u2019s \u201cLove,\u201d Davido and Omah Lay\u2019s \u201cWith You,\u201d Ayra Starr and Wizkid\u2019s \u201cGimme Dat,\u201d and Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin\u2019s \u201cHope & Love.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This marks Tyla\u2019s second consecutive win in the category, following her 2024 victory with the breakout hit \u201cWater,\u201d which made history as the inaugural recipient of the Best African Music Performance award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a backstage interview, Tyla expressed her excitement and pride:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuys, first of all, Africa. Like, guys, this is insane. This is so insane. I\u2019m just so lucky to be here, and I\u2019m so proud to be African. I\u2019m so proud to be where I\u2019m from, and I hope that everyone is too.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
