After the summit, he will proceed directly to Zambia on the same aircraft to meet Zambian&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/asaaseradio.com\/hakainde-hichilema-zambias-new-president-inspires-african-opposition-leaders\/?amp=1\">President Hakainde Hichilema<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Zambia visit, Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with Hichilema on trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, and regional integration under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/asaaseradio.com\/transport-reform-lies-at-the-heart-of-how-to-connect-trade-in-africa\/?amp=1\">African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key event will be Mahama\u2019s address to Zambia\u2019s National Assembly, where he will outline Ghana\u2019s vision for a more integrated and economically connected Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two leaders will also co-chair a Ghana-Zambia Business Dialogue, giving Ghanaian firms an opportunity to showcase digital technologies and fintech solutions to Zambian businesses and government agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mahama will meet members of the Ghanaian community in Lusaka during the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presidency said the visit underscores Mahama\u2019s commitment to accelerating AfCFTA implementation, which he views as essential for job creation, youth employment, and Africa\u2019s competitiveness in the global economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement was issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, presidential spokesperson and minister for government communications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President John Dramani Mahama departed Accra on Sunday for Dubai aboard a special aircraft provided by the United Arab Emirates, ahead of a three-day state visit to Zambia from 4-6 February, the presidency said.
