He also urged a departure from politics marked by acrimony and personal attacks, advocating instead for what he described as a \u201cnew politics\u201d built on truth, mutual respect, and zero tolerance for insults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stressed that the country\u2019s democratic progress depends on a more responsible and development-focused political environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further emphasised that national discourse must prioritise the collective good, calling for leadership that is firmly focused on advancing Ghana\u2019s development agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While highlighting the importance of peace, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II noted that its sustainability is tied to key governance principles, including good governance, adherence to the rule of law, and the building of a resilient economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe hope he will help set the tone for a new politics for the decade of the 70s. A new politics less in acrimony, exert tolerance of insults, laid on the foundations of truth, discipline, and respect for law and order, and focused on development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
