Missy Elliott misplaced her diamond necklace at the 2019 MTV Vieo Music Awards on Monday, and she’s offering a pretty penny to the person who finds it.<\/p>\n

Elliott won the network’s coveted\u00a0MTV Video Vanguard Award that night, and two days following she took to her Instagram Stories to report that a diamond necklace she was wearing backstage had gone missing.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old rapper wrote: ‘Anyone found this necklace at the VMAs backstage or know anything about it there\u2019s a reward.’<\/p>\n

When Elliott appeared at the podium to accept her award, she told the audience she felt ‘grateful’ and ‘humbled.’<\/p>\n

She also dedicated her award to the dancing community.<\/p>\n

‘I promised I wouldn\u2019t cry this time because I cry at every awards. But this Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award means so much to me,’ she said.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019ve worked diligently for over two decades and I never thought that I would be standing up here receiving this award, so it means so much to me. I promise y\u2019all, it don\u2019t go unnoticed the support and love you\u2019d showed to me over the years.’<\/p>\n

‘Lastly, I want to dedicate this to the dance community all around the world. Because when you get on the stage with these artists \u2026 y\u2019all are not just props. Y\u2019all are the beat to the heart,’ she said.<\/p>\n

Not long before accepting the award, Elliott released her first EP since her 2005 album The Cookbook.<\/p>\n

Throughout her career, Elliott has won seven VMAs and has been nominated for 41.<\/p>\n
