Actress Lydia Forson has said too many people in leadership positions in Ghana \u201cknow nothing about what being a leader means.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Ms Forson, most Ghanaian leaders do not understand the integrity, respect and honour that comes with stepping down when they have failed.<\/p>\n
Her statement comes on the back of renewed calls on the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah to resign following a DNA confirmation that the missing Takoradi girls who she claimed the police knew where they were, have been dead long ago.<\/p>\n
The Inspector-General of Police James Oppong Boanuh confirmed to the media on Monday, 16 September 2019 that the DNA results conducted on some human remains discovered at the home of the suspect had come in positive as those of the four missing girls.<\/p>\n
Reacting to news of the death of the girls, Ms Forson, in a series of tweets, said: \u201cWhat happened to the #TakoradiGirls, how the police handled the case, the silence of our government and the treatment of the families should tell you the value of your life in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Forson further wondered what can be done for the Police Service to make them more efficient in the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeyond our outrage, I need to understand what Ghana Police Service needs to help it become more effective. I don\u2019t want to believe that everyone there is happy with the fact that a majority of Ghanaians have no faith in them. Really, what can we do?\u201d She quizzed.<\/p>\n
