‘We Are Ready To Cooperate With Ghanaian Authorities’- Nana Appiah Mensah

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MenzGold, Nana Appiah Mensah has indicated his resolve to cooperate with the appropriate Ghanaian authorities to restore all anomalies that accompany the MenzGold saga.

He noted that, given that every business venture was highly likely to face some entrepreneurial setbacks of which MenzGold was no exception, he was willing to join forces with Ghanaian authorities to fulfill a number of actions.

The young CEO therefore prayed the said authorities to afford him and his gold dealership company the opportunity to fully recoup money owed for Dubai-based Horizon Royal Diamond and unfreeze held-up property and bank accounts and assets.

“We respectfully pray the Ghanaian authorities to cooperate with us to achieve the following; To assist us make full recovery of the amount owed Menzgold by Horizon Royal Diamond in Dubai. As an act of good faith, we are willing to engage the Attorney General’s office on the best possible way for the them to aid Menzgold by employing international law and diplomatic relations to ensure we achieve this objective.

“To unfreeze our Companies and my personal bank accounts and assets for us to utilize these as vehicles to get productive in other to meet our liabilities, owed to our customers and some business associates in our bid to resolve our liabilities immediately. As of now, Brew Marketing Consult, Menzgold and I cannot credit or debit any bank account in Ghana,” he said.

He spoke at a presser on August 19 in Accra.

NAM1 also demanded a clear-cut regulatory direction for the gold dealership company, accompanied by appropriate certification. He added that, his outfit was very open to supervision from the designated government regulatory agencies.

“To clearly give direction as to which government agent or agency has jurisdiction to regulate the activity of a “gold collectible/jewelry trade” in Ghana, just so we can apply for the necessary certifications in other to proceed with our business in a fair and sound manner.

“ As we have publicly demonstrated, we are open to fair supervision and are opposed to no supervision, misconceived supervision or supervision with malicious intents, respectfully,” he said.

Many customers, ahead of the much-anticipated presser after the topsy-turvy that characterised the year-long MenzGold saga,were expecting to hear when and how payments were going to be. Contrary to expectations however, due to legal and diplomatic procedures,according to the CEO, they had to hang on a bit longer.

He was quick to add, that the company will not hesitate to outline a realistic payment plan once the dust settles.
