Robert De Niro is joined by Keke Palmer at NYC Variety event in first outing since news of scathing $12M suit from ex-assistant

Robert De Niro didn’t let a scandal keep him in for the night.

The two-time Academy Award winner was snapped at Variety’s New Power of New York party on Thursday at the Atlantic Grill in New York City, where he seemed carefree on the day a voicemail of him chastising a former assistant was released to the public.

The 76-year-old actor donned a navy blue blazer over a grey collared shirt with grey slacks on the rainy evening in the Big Apple.

Other celebrities snapped at the event included Hustlers beauty Keke Palmer, 26, who looked amazing in a black skirt with spaghetti straps, and her locks braided back.

The Goodfellas star was heard in a profane 2012 voicemail message for former employee Chase Robinson that was released Thursday as Robinson filed a $12 million suit against him in Manhattan federal court.

In her suit, Robinson said she was subjected to gender discrimination and harassment when she worked for the Meet The Parents star’s Canal Productions company.

‘De Niro would unleash tirades against Ms. Robinson – often while he was intoxicated – in which he denigrated, berated, bullied, and hurled expletives at her,’ Robinson’s attorneys said in the filing. ‘De Niro made vulgar, inappropriate, and gendered comments to Ms. Robinson’ and ‘would joke with Ms. Robinson about his Viagra prescription.’

In an audio excerpt of a voicemail Robinson’s firm released in tandem with the suit, The King of Comedy actor was clearly upset.

‘You f***in don’t answer my call? How dare you! You’re about to be fired, you’re f***ing history,’ the Taxi Driver star said in the audio. ‘How dare you disrespect me with what you did … you gotta be f***in’ kidding me, you spoiled brat – f*** you!’

De Niro had previously sued Robinson, 37, in New York state court for $6 million, claiming in legal docs that she’d misappropriated the company’s fiances and ‘loafed during working hours, binge-watching astounding hours of TV shows on Netflix.’

De Niro had been in the headlines this week after a profane segment on CNN’s Reliable Sources Sunday, in which he expressed his ire for President Donald Trump and Fox News.

‘This guy should not be president, period,’ he said, to which host Brian Stelter noted the criticism the actor received from the network after saying ‘F*** Trump’ at the 2018 Tony Awards.

The Cape Fear actor replied, ‘F*** ’em – f*** ’em!’
