Pakro Nurses Calls For Completion Of Their Abandoned Nursing Quarters

Nurses at Pakro in the Akuapim South District have called government to expedite action on the uncompleted and abandoned nurses quarters which was started by Hon. O.B. Amoah over 8 to 9 years now.

According to them, O.B. Amoah commitment to the health needs of the people compelled him to invest over millions in the project.

Meanwhile, the facility have been left to grow weed as government turns blind eye. Per their view government is being insensitive with the country’s health facilities.

“To be able to employ more nurses and midwives and to provide better health care delivery means expanding the infrastructure in the health sector”they said.

They added that, walking a long distance before attaining to patients make their work difficult and sometimes boycott night duties because where they stay are very far .

They are asking government to take steps to complete and furnish the abandoned health facility to improve healthcare delivery in the community.

“We call on the government to expedite action on the uncompleted and abandoned health facility and this will result in the creation of more vacancies to be able to absorb the unemployed nurses,” they emphasised.
