Ghana Premier League: Medeama SC wins first trophy

Medeama Sporting Club for the first time wins its maiden Ghana Premier League trophy after a resounding 3-0 victory over Tamale City at Akoon Park on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Medeama only needed a draw to lift the league trophy against relegated Tamale City but had a three-point lead at the top of the table to their advantage.

Jonathan Sowah’s hattrick was enough for the Medeama team to secure all three points making them champions of the premier league for the first time in the history of the club.
