MUSIGA elections slated for tomorrow

After four years of court injunctions and postponements, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) will be organizing its national and regional elections on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

About 500 delegates across the country are expected to cast their votes in the elections which will be supervised by the Electoral Commission(EC).

For Greater Accra, elections will be held at the Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC).

Bessa Simons (Acting MUSIGA President) and Ras Caleb Appiah Levi (Greater Accra Regional Chairman for MUSIGA) are contesting for the Presidency, Thomas Yawson, is vying for the 1st Vice President position unopposed while Stella Ganyo and gospel artiste Abena Ruthy are vying for the 2nd Vice President position.

Samuel Kofi Agyemang and Francis Derman Dogbatse are racing for the General Secretary position and Chizzy Wailer vies for the National Organiser, Gifty Oppong Ghansah as the Welfare Officer, and Edward Edusa Eyison asTreasurer unopposed.
