Ghanaian-American film-maker recruits Ghanaian creatives for international movies

Prince Adu Mensah, a Ghanaian-American film-maker has become the youngest and first Ghanaian to be part of the executive production team that produced the film titled Dissecting with Darcy.
Dissecting with Darcy, directed by Nigerian-Canadian film-maker Tomide Bamigboye was produced in the heart of Hollywood at the New York Film Academy.

Dissecting with Darcy is a film about a 32-year-old journalist named Darcy who due to lack of employment moved to her parent’s house in Rudoso, Indiana.
Darcy who is determined to make a name for herself as an investigative journalist, commenced a podcast to uncover unsolved murder cases in her town. As usual, Darcy is hosting an episode of her podcast when she gets a call from a mysterious man, Aarick who seems to know a lot about the murder victims.
With determination to find out who he is, Darcy kept Aarick talking by asking him questions. And answering Darcy’s questions, Aarick unknowingly unravels a little part of himself.
Darcy’s most loyal listener, Ricky tries to impress her by going ahead to solve the cases and finding out who the murderer is. Ricky seems to have a breakthrough in the case and tries to inform Darcy but she shuts him down, Ricky whose mind was made up, goes ahead to explore his findings on his own.
Still on the phone call, Darcy thinks she is able to figure out who Aarick is after he reveals that he is a retired surgeon but after her research, she realizes that her information about Aarick is false.
Sensing ‘defeat’, Darcy lashes out at Aarick, hears Ricky through the phone, he is in Aarick’s house. Darcy pleads with Aarick to let Ricky go but she is ignored.
Aarick convinces Ricky to allow him to end his life and Ricky agrees. After this incident, Darcy ends the podcast episode. She then calls her cousin Ricky and her grandpa and it is revealed that the podcast was a rouse to gain more followers.
Dissecting with Darcy on the 17th August, 2023, was screened in Burbank, Los Angeles.

Prince Adu Mensah who is an excellent director, is also a professional writer. The young Ghanaian-American has written and directed a couple of short films like “Amenyo”, “Hardened”, “Hear Me”, and many more. Prince has also directed multiple commercials.
Prince who is passionate about promoting Ghanaian crew members who are perfect at production and directing has recruited majority of them to join the long list of international crew members.

Through Prince, Majeed Mohammed and Seth Osei have had the privilege to work on Dissecting with Darcy occupying the editing and visual effects positions.
Majeed is known to have worked on young and vibrant Ghanaian superstar, Black Sherif’s “Paradise” music video while Seth Osei is widely known for being behind scenes of major Ghanaian productions as a VFX editor.
Prince whose dream is to market the Ghanaian film industry on the global film market has made it a target to recruit more Ghanaian creatives on his next project.
