NPP disqualifies Kwabena Agyepong from NPP flagbearership race?

Reports in sections of the media suggest that Ing. Kwabena Agyepong has been given 48 hours to produce over four million Ghana cedis or face disqualification from the flagbearership. 

According to reports, the party’s National Executive Committee endorsed the decision by the party’s election committee and has since informed the candidate. 

After the 48-hour grace period expires, Kwabena Agyepong will be prevented from contesting for the flagbearership position until he has made payment.

The 4.6 million cedis, according to the party, serve as development fees for the party. 

Kennedy Agyapong has complained bitterly about the decision to include such a fee after the party charged for filing fees. 

He believes the decision is unfair and not democratic although he has paid the money.
