GES announces March 9–10 mid-term break for basic schools
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that all basic schools across the country will observe a mid-term break from Monday, March 9, to Tuesday, March 10.
The two-day break comes immediately after the country’s Independence Day celebrations on Friday, March 6, which involve the active participation of schools nationwide. It is intended to provide pupils and teachers with a short rest before academic activities resume.
Classes are scheduled to continue on Wednesday, March 11.
In a statement on its official Facebook page on Friday, February 27, GES reminded school authorities, parents and guardians to take note of the dates and ensure that students return to school promptly to avoid any disruption to teaching and learning.
