Manhyia names three-member board to oversee Asante Kotoko operations
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appointed a three-member board to oversee Asante Kotoko Sporting Club until the end of the season, the club said on Friday.
In a statement issued from Manhyia Palace, and signed by Chief of Staff Kofi Badu, the board will be chaired by James Osei Brown, also known as Joshob.
Akwasi Osei will serve as vice-chairman, while Kofi Amoah Abban completes the board, with his specific portfolio yet to be announced.
The board is expected to assume its duties immediately in line with statutory requirements of the Ghana Premier League.
The statement called for close cooperation between the new board and the club’s Interim Management Committee until the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season.
Osei Brown said the board was committed to restoring Kotoko to “the heights it truly deserves.”
Meanwhile, Nana Apinkra Awuah will continue to oversee day-to-day operations and pledged full support to ensure a smooth transition.
