Simon Jones: Marcos Rojo is still in Manchester as Everton and United try to reach an agreement on the defender’s transfer.
As Sportsmail reported this morning, Everton had hoped for a loan deal for the Argentina international owing to his lack of game time in recent seasons but United are pushing for a permanent deal.
The clubs have still to find a common ground but negotiations are continuing. However, they have not advanced enough for Rojo to travel to Everton’s training ground in preparation as yet.
Sami Mokbel: Wilfried Zaha reported for training at Crystal Palace this morning – but didn’t train with the first team. He did, though, train in the gym. Make of that what you will.
Adrian Kajumba: Wilfried Zaha’s future was thrown into further doubt after he sat out of Crystal Palace training today.
Zaha did report to the club’s Bromley HQ this morning, allaying Palace fears that he would ramp up his attempts to leave, following his transfer request yesterday, with a deadline day no-show.
But he did not take part in the session with the rest of Roy Hodgson’s first team and instead did a short session in the gym before returning home.
Meanwhile, Palace are in for Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose. Roy Hodgson is desperate for more firepower ahead of today’s deadline.
Pete Jenson: Manchester City are signing another full-back. Girona’s highly-rated 19-year-old right back Pedro Porro will arrive from the Spanish side who were relegated last season, and then be sent out on loan to Ronaldo’s Valladolid for a season.
Craig Hope: I understand Newcastle defender Kelland Watts is travelling to Stevenage ahead of a proposed loan move. Highly-rated 19-year-old who has been in and around the first team this summer. Only ever heard very good things about him.
Our reporter Chris Wheeler reporting that United have ended their interest in signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus as they look to replace Romelu Lukaku.
The deal has collapsed over the fee demanded by Juventus.

If you want to keep up to date with every transfer completed by the 20 Premier League clubs this summer, they’re all here.

But with Ryan Sessegnon, who is due to arrive at the Spurs training ground imminently, set to sign – Rose could yet leave.

The striker has been a free agent since his release from West Ham at the end of last season but we understand he is desperate to sign for his hometown club and talks have opened.

Midfielder Badou N’Diaye also has late interest from Premier League clubs.
Tottenham’s attempts to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala have collapsed.
Spurs were looking to complete a stunning late deal for the Argentine international on deadline day but negotiations have been called off.
It was thought that Dybala’s demands may prove too difficult too accommodate with Manchester United also finding them a sticking point in their own negotiations with the 25-year-old earlier this summer.
Joe Bernstein: Stoke’s only business on deadline day is likely to be bringing in Tottenham centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan. That would free up Bruno Indy Martins to leave the club later in the month when the European transfer windows are still open.
Sami Mokbel: Watford are in talks to sign Germany defender Marvin Plattenhardt from Hertha Berlin. A fee has agreed between the clubs and work on thrashing out personal terms is underway.
Simon Jones: Cardiff City are in talks to sign 22-year-old Le Havre forward Alimani Gory.

Across the Premier League as a whole, it’s shaping up to be a record-breaking window. As of 10am today (see table), the 20 clubs combined had spent £1.263 BILLION gross on new players this summer.

Sami Mokbel: Small line from Stoke – several Premier League and Championship sides are showing an interest in taking Tyrese Campbell – son of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin.
Scott Hogan’s arrival at Stoke has pushed the youngster down the pecking order and a number of clubs are plotting moves for the 19-year-old.
Adrian Kajumba: Little update on Wilfried Zaha. Just a ‘man goes to work’ one but in the case of Zaha it’s worth noting.
Palace were concerned whether he would step up his attempts to leave after handing in a transfer request by staying away from training today but he is on his way in now.
Will it be his last day at Palace? Will depend on Everton and if they can make Palace an offer that is too good to turn down, one worth more than the £80m Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire.
If not, Palace will stand firm and hold onto their star man.
Adrian Kajumba: The focus at Southampton is on offloading players. The main three Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to move on are Charlie Austin, Mario Lemina and Guido Carillo.
All three have been frozen out, training with the under-23s and, as it stands, have been left out of Southampton’s provisional Premier League squad.
Optimism last night that a deal could be done for Austin looks well-founded as West Brom have come in for him. West Brom are also hoping to get Grady Diangana on loan.

Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Paulo Dybala from Juventus, according to reports. An agreement for the 25-year-old Argentina striker is very close.
