Kristo Asafo Mission Outdoors Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as New Leader

The Kristo Asafo Mission has officially outdoored Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as its new leader following a vote by members of the church to fill the leadership vacuum created by the passing of the Mission’s founder, Apostle Professor Emeritus Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
The ceremony, which attracted church members, elders, dignitaries, and supporters from across the country, marked a significant moment in the history of the religious and industrial movement founded more than five decades ago by the late Apostle Safo.

According to church leaders, the decision to endorse Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena followed consultations and internal processes aimed at ensuring continuity of the vision and legacy established by the late founder. Members expressed confidence in his ability to lead the church and preserve its long-standing commitment to spiritual growth, technological innovation, industrialization, and national development.
In his address, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena thanked members of the Kristo Asafo Mission for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to uphold the principles, teachings, and vision of his late father. He called for unity among members and urged followers to remain committed to the mission’s objectives.
The outdooring comes at a time when discussions surrounding succession within the Kristo Asafo Mission have generated significant public interest following the death of Apostle Kwadwo Safo in September 2025. The late founder left behind a remarkable legacy as a religious leader, inventor, industrialist, and advocate for African technological advancement.
Many members described the occasion as a historic transition and expressed optimism that the new leadership would continue to strengthen the church and its affiliated institutions, including the renowned Kantanka Group.
