The content forms part of Spotify’s partnership with Afro Nation Portugal 2026, where the streaming platform served as the festival’s official sponsor and exclusive streaming partner.

Through a dedicated Afro Nation destination on Spotify, fans can access selected performances, festival content, and music from some of the biggest names shaping African sound globally.

Spotify said the featured artistes reflect the expanding international reach of Afrobeats, with millions of listeners engaging with their music across different regions.

In the past month, Tyla’s leading streaming markets have included the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, and the Philippines, while Wizkid’s strongest markets include the US, Nigeria, the UK, Mexico, and France.

Olamide and Young Jonn have also continued to attract audiences worldwide, with listeners from Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia streaming their music.

Rifumo Mdaka, Content Marketing Manager for Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa, said the partnership aims to make African music experiences accessible to fans globally.

“Afro Nation brings together the artists, fans, and culture shaping African music right now, and we wanted to help that energy reach people wherever they are,” he said.

The release adds to Spotify’s growing collection of exclusive live performance content featuring global artistes.

The Afro Nation partnership further highlights Spotify’s continued investment in African music, following initiatives such as its Afrobeats: Journey of a Billion Streams project, which documents the genre’s growth and global influence.
