Rick Ross Arrested in Miami Beach on Domestic Violence Charges

American rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident.

Ross, whose legal name is William Roberts II, faces a felony charge of battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor battery charge. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center early Thursday, with bond listed at $6,000, according to jail and court records cited by The Guardian.

The Associated Press reported that Ross was subsequently released on bond. His lawyer, Steve Sadow, denied the allegations, saying the rapper maintains his innocence and has pleaded not guilty.

Sadow urged fans and the public to reserve judgment while the judicial process takes its course.

Ross’s arraignment is scheduled for October 22. The charges remain allegations, and no conviction has been established in the case.
